Tips, Tricks and Cloth Diaper Hacks – Blog Hop & Giveaway

Cloth Diaper HacksOne of the most exciting things about the cloth diaper community is how resourceful we all are.  When resources are limited – we find a way to continue cloth diapering.  We’ve found ways to make flats more stylish by tie-dying them.  We’ve found ways to make boring diapers pretty with fabric markers.  Can’t have a clothesline in your backyard?  That’s ok, we’ve found legal ways to line dry our diapers outdoors without annoying the home owners association.  Join our group of bloggers as they share some of their favorite tips, tricks, and cloth diaper hacks!

    I have been meaning to make a wetbag for some time now. Whenever it is time to buy fluff, I always want to buy a diaper, not a wetbag. So I don’t own any wetbags. lol! I should make one!

    I love the idea of a several small changing stations throughout the house! I’ve been telling my husband that I don’t know what I’ll do when we take the changer out of our pack and play since that’s where I’ve always stored and changed LO’s diapers. I was picturing something like this, and now that I know it works, I’ll definitely plan on it! In fact, now I’m excited instead of dreading the change to my system! Thanks!

    I loved all of the tips that were given. I think the best idea from one of the friends blogs was to try different diapers. I have found what works best for ME!! But what I do may not necessarily work for the next person!

    I really liked the ideas on how to use wet bags. I already use one to store my pump parts in the fridge at work to save time, but I hadn’t thought of using it for purse floaters or a med kit!

My son is 2 and potty training but we are using cloth trainers during the day and cd at night to see how we like it for when we have baby 2.     When using pockets as all in 2s, you can just change the insert/prefold/flat if the fleece layer didn’t get wet….it’s no different than using a SoftBums shell.

    Good tips in washing diapers part time. I cloth full time and will soon have a second in diapers and this is how I wash full time. My toddler doesn’t need to be changed quite as often anymore, even after a few days I don’t have enough for a full load so I always add a towel or two.

    Even though Cloth Diapering requires a bit of planning (especially when working full time) I find it quite manageable when you just make the diapers part of your regular wash routine, just like you would with your underwear or workout clothes. I love it that I don’t have to do 10pm diaper runs to the grocery store!
